VeriFone Systems Inc, the global leader in secure electronic payment solutions, will be exhibiting again this year at the biggest smart card and payment show in the Middle East.
At Cards & Payments Middle East 2014, VeriFone will showcase its range of solutions dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of the region. With the increased uptake of contactless and NFC technologies, exemplified by the introduction of NFC payments in Dubai earlier this month, organisations must make sure that they have the solutions to meet their customers’ fast changing demands.
To that end, VeriFone will be showcasing its VX Evolution terminals, all capable of accepting EMV, NFC and contactless payments. The terminals boast a range of mobile and wireless connectivity options, including dual SIMs, so payments can be accepted wherever customers are. The wireless VX 675 includes 3G HSPA+ and Wi-Fi functionality and can deliver high bandwidth content such as colorful graphics, pictures and videos on the display. This along with the large colour screen now included with the countertop VX 520, are just a few examples of the new features on show.
Other payment devices available for demonstration will be VeriFone’s UX Solutions. The series of unattended payment modules improve transaction security, speed and reliability for vending machines and other self-service environments, including parking meters, petroleum pumps and ticketing machines.
VeriFone’s PAYware Mobile suite, which transforms smartphones and tablets into secure payment points, will also be on show. The PAYware Mobile solution allows merchants to interact with consumers anywhere in store, and includes features such as inventory management, remote scanning, and price checking.
Tom Conlon, vice president of Marketing and Business Development of EMEA for VeriFone, will speak at the event. On Monday 13th May he will present on the theme, ‘Adopting an Omni-channel strategy to drive acquisition, retain customers and deliver individual experiences’. The next day he will be discussing the effect of mobile at a peer-to-peer roundtable session – in particular looking at the growth of mPOS, and the opportunities services such as PAYware Mobile presents for retailers.
Cards & Payments Middle East will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, where more than 200 companies will exhibit over the two days.
