Following the traditional inauguration ceremony and the ribbon-cutting, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid congratulated the organizing committee for the success achieved by the DUPHAT conference and exhibition over the past seventeen years, he also emphasized that DUPHAT is a continuing education forum and platform for professional interaction and scientific discourse. His Highness also had a tour in the exhibition and explored the latest Pharmaceutical Technologies displayed by national, regional and international pharmaceutical industry players.
His Highness was impressed by the continuous growth achieved every year, he also said that this tremendous turnout reinforces the role of Dubai as a regional hub for major international companies who are looking forward to promoting their products from Dubai to the Middle East and the world Markets.
H.E. Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General – Dubai Health Authority reassured the support and unconditional aid that the Dubai Health Authority has been giving to the Pharmaceutical sector in Dubai including the level and quality of services presented by the authority through the application of the automated pharmaceutical system which had a positive impact on the level and quality of services provided in this area by reducing medical errors, reducing waiting time for patients, providing doctors with comprehensive information, formulating a data base for patients, drug prescriptions in general, in addition to improving the performance and productivity of pharmacists, facilitating drug pricing, the shortage of drugs and drug consumption.
H.E. Al Murooshid also indicated the significant role that DUPHAT conference and exhibition has in terms of enhancing the investments in Dubai and also its role in attracting foreign investments to Dubai, in addition to attracting experts and pharmaceuticals from all over the world to come and participate in this outstanding forum.
H.E. Khalid Ahmed Al Sheikh Mubarak, Deputy Director General – Dubai Health Authority said during the opening ceremony: “ Dubai Health Authority is always keen to provide excellent health care services for residents of Dubai and the UAE. DHA is also eager to upgrade the healthcare system including the pharmaceutical services which is now at the forefront of other healthcare systems in the region. H.E. Khalid Al Sheikh also said in his speech: “year after year, DUPHAT has managed to achieve tremendous success and has become a global forum where all pharmacists come to learn from the experts and gain credit hours in addition to interact with their peers from all over the globe and exchange experiences and knowledge.”
H.E. Khalid Al Sheikh had submitted his gratitude for H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Health Authority for his continuous support and assistance for the health sector in Dubai.
