The Minister of Environment and Water launches Offshore Arabia 2009

This high profile event is held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, scheduled from 11 to 13 January 2009 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The UAE Ministry of Environment supports this international event, which focuses on energy and environment. The Organization of Oil Producing and Exporting Counties – OPEC and other international corporate actively involved in oil, energy and environment strongly support this unique event. We encourage national, regional, and international organizations and corporation to take active role in this event.

This event comes at a time when the international community is actively engaged in extensive dialogue geared towards facilitating and managing energy for sustainable economic and social development and finding solutions to existing and future environment changes and challenges.

Offshore Arabia since its inception instituted itself as the first and most effective regional and international energy and environment forum that provide an excellent platform to display technological advancements and discuss key issues in the energy industry and the environment.

Highly knowledgeable and skilled professionals meet in Dubai to provide a wider range of solutions and share their thoughts. Leaders in Energy and the Environment Industry discuss Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as an urgent regional and international socioeconomic issue of the conference.

Offshore Arabia 2009 as an International Conference and Exhibition bring together leaders that have the vision and the leadership characteristics to examine environment status and its relationship with Oil and Gas Industry present and future prospects in our region and the world. Conference sessions will primarily focus on attaining energy and environmental security for the region and the world.

The conference runs for 3 days from 11 to 13 January 2009, with a visionary session where high profile speakers present illuminating scientific presentations on hot topics of environment, oil and gas industry development. Anas Al Madani Vice President of INDEX Holding the organizer of Offshore Arabia 2009 expressed his thanks and gratitude to H.E Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahad the Minster of Environment and Water for gracing the Launching Press Conference. This will encourage a sizable numbers of energy corporate and environment organizations and institutions from the Gulf region and the world to take part in this significantly important regional and international event.

Eng. Al Madani said the technical and logistic preparations for organizing this highly important event is running according to schedule and we target a wide and extensive participation from corporate and organizations engaged in the energy industry, environmental organizations specialized in manufacturing, processing and servicing.

“We expect the participation of over 100 companies and organizations in the Exhibition dedicated to the oil industry, environmental establishments and organization, tanker and shipping industry, renewable energy and technology, ports and free zones, IT Solutions and software for oil industry and environment and many other specializations related to energy and environment,”

Eng. Al Madani added.

He said, “The conference will be held at Dubai International Convention Center which will facilitates organizing different presentations and topics at a time according to the interest of participants and speakers.”

Speaking about the conference topics Eng. Al Madani said, ”Offshore Arabia 2009 Exhibition and Conference will deal with major and pressing issues confronting energy and environment sectors. The tentative program of the conference incorporates major tops related to Energy Challenges, Climate Change, Sustainability, Offshore and Onshore Protections, Managing Resources and the Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Rescue beside Global Environment and the Role of Government.”
