PhotoWorld-Dubai opens next week (May 6-8) aiming to draw visitors from across the region with its strongest ever line-up of attractions for photography enthusiasts, professional photographers and businesses.
This year, for the first time, the exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre includes a programme of events sponsored by industry leading brands.
The new attractions include the Nikon Photography Awards at PhotoWorld; a series of full day professional Photography Masterclasses hosted by leading practitioners; and the Nikon Photography Conclave, an exclusive programme of seminars, workshops and practical discussion groups.
Subjects covered in these sessions include portrait lighting, food photography, event videography and wedding cinematography, high-end photo retouching, digital blending, time-lapse photography, basic video, photography above the clouds, underwater photography, street and people photography, interior photography plus mastering your camera.
“All these new features add up to make this year’s PhotoWorld-Dubai one of the top international forums for photographers,” says Justin Boutros, CEO of Channels Exhibitions. “This will be the best opportunity for serious photographers and hobbyists to exchange ideas, showcase work and share experiences.”
Full details of all the events, including how to enter the Nikon photography competition, are now available on the PhotoWorld website.
“This year’s show will be our most exciting yet,” added exhibition organiser Jean-Marie Jenanji.
“The involvement of Nikon and other major names from around the world means there will much more for photography professionals and enthusiasts at this year’s show. The show is now a major draw and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors from over 40 countries.”
Last year 5795 photographers and business owners attended the show, an increase of 10% over the previous year, and the organisers say this year’s event will be significantly bigger.
