Excellence of sales and service elite shines at Nissan Regional Skills Contest

Nissan’s finest sales and service technicians from across the Middle East recently gathered in Dubai to prove their excellence at the Nissan Regional Skills Contest. Covering every aspect of the business – from knowledge of Nissan genuine parts to service advice, sales prowess to technical expertise – the competition draws winners of the national rounds together to compete for the top awards.

The technicians, sales, parts and service who made it through the national rounds to reach Dubai rank among the best across Nissan’s global organisation.

“Nissan has set itself the ambition of becoming the leading automotive brand in customer care across the Middle East,” Samir Cherfan, Managing Director at Nissan Middle East. “While we are already ranked among the best in almost all markets, by continued investment in the skills of our employees we are confident we can reach the top. We congratulate those who reached the regional finals and all those who have contributed to raising the standards across Nissan’s Middle East network,” he added.

The regional skills contest comprises of four competitions designed for engineers, technicians, sales staff and service advisors with the aim of promoting their skills, discovering their capabilities and potential as well as identifying future learning needs. The oldest category of the skills contest is Nissan Service Technical Excellence Competency Award (NISTEC), now in its 17th year. The other three contests are Nissan Service Advisor Excellency Competency Award (NISAC), Nissan Sales Executive Excellence Competency Award (NISEC), and Nissan Parts Executive Excellence Competency Award (NIPAC).

In November, Nissan announced a sales ambition of 300,000units a year in the Middle East by April 2017. A key pillar of that plan is a strong, broad and well trained dealer network to ensure the highest standards of customer service. This plan complements Nissan’s global ‘Power 88’ plan targeting 8% of global market share and a sustainable 8% by the end of 2016’s fiscal year
