US carmaker Ford has said a V-6 EcoBoost turbocharged engine will replace the 2015 Expedition’s V-8 powertrain, USA Today has reported. The move is part of a company decision to introduce the SUV’s biggest changes since its 2007 model. The redesigned Expedition SUV will boast an updated interior and tweaked front styling, adaptive shock absorbers that monitor the road surface to improve comfort and handling, but will retain the independent rear suspension that’s a key selling point, according to Ford. Other new features include blind spot alert, push button start and a control panel that will combine traditional switches and dials with the system’s voice recognition and a touch screen operation.
