Lexus has reported robust growth in the Middle East (GCC, Yemen, Lebanon and Jordan), with 21,598 units sold across the region during the first six months of 2014 – marking an increase of 20% over the corresponding period last year, Zawya reported. With a strong emphasis on innovation, design and a refreshed model line-up that enhances the brand’s appeal to younger and more adventurous buyers, Lexus has been making significant inroads into the region’s fiercely competitive luxury car market. Takayuki Yoshitsugu, Chief Representative of Middle East & North Africa Representative Office, Toyota Motor Corporation, said, “Lexus is constantly pushing the boundaries of automotive technology and design to develop vehicles that exhibit a seamless blend of luxury and performance. This has been a key driving force behind our sustained growth throughout the region.”
