Oman’s Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP), in cooperation with the Saud Bahwan Group (SBG), has initiated a recall of Lexus GS 250/300 cars, manufactured from June to December 2012, Muscat Daily has reported. The recall involves some 100 vehicles in the sultanate. The cars are being recalled because of a defect in the sensor on the brake pedal, which results in the brake warning indicator to light up constantly with the possibility of activating the brakes. SBG will replace the brake pedal support system, said the PACP.
