Toyota Motor Corporation recently announced the official launch of the Toyota Avanza in the Middle East, marking the entry of a supremely practical vehicle set to redefine the compact MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) segment.
The new Avanza continues Toyota’s tradition of introducing vehicles that not only deliver a variety of innovative features, but which also meet the evolving demands of the brand’s most discerning consumers.
The Avanza features a SUV/MPV crossover-like design that lends the vehicle a sophisticated façade. At 4,140 mm long, 1,660 mm wide and 1,695 mm high, the Avanza’s external dimensions lead into an interior that is comfortably spacious for all the passengers, with ample room for luggage and third-row seating.
“The Avanza’s design emphasizes additional space for both passengers and luggage, while the sturdy body lends the vehicle exceptional drivability and maneuverability attributes that result in a more comfortable driving experience,” commented Nadim Haddad, Marketing Manager at Central Trade and Auto Company– the exclusive dealer for Toyota in the Kingdom. “Customers in the Middle East looking to upgrade from a small sedan or a hatchback now have the opportunity to own a class-leading vehicle that not only delivers unparalleled practicality but also boasts of the quality, durability and safety for which Toyota vehicles are renowned globally,” he added.
The 7-seater Avanza is powered by a 1.5 L engine that can churn out a maximum output of 102 HP and a maximum torque of 139/4400 Nm/rpm. Owners have the option to choose from either four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission to enhance the vehicle’s overall driving experience. The engine delivers a high level of performance under all driving conditions while facilitating improved fuel economy and low emissions.
Avanza’s elongated window design establishes the vehicle’s dynamic and spacious theme. The vehicle exhudes a sense of newness and strength, with a reassuring lower body architecture and an emphasized rocker panel and wheel flare design. The Avanza has an aerodynamically designed windshield which has been given a shallower angle, allowing for smoother airflow, while the rear end of the roof panel has been slanted down, separating the flow of air from the vehicle’s body.
Additionally, the Avanza can comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers with ample space for luggage, while offering excellent comfort for the driver and the passengers. The spacious seats ensure unparalleled comfort delivered via a variety of seating configurations. The front seats, for instance, feature a new seat frame construction that ensure side support, while the saddle-shaped headrests of the rear seats feature a celan design to ensure excellent rear visibility for the driver. The cabin offers a relaxing experience for both drivers and passengers due to the Avanza’s class-leading air conditioning system, which allows for quick adjustment of interior temperature for maximum efficiency. Moreover, an upper vent has been incorporated on the top of the center cluster to achieve maximum cooling for the rear seats.
In the arena of safety, the Avanza offers a wide selection of features that ensure maximum safety for the entire family. From the ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) to dual SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbags and three-point ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) seatbelts, pretensioners and force limiters – the Toyota Avanza is packed with high performance safety features.
