As a testament to Zubair Automotive Group’s presence as one of the leading automotive groups in the Sultanate and commitment to excellence, the Group was presented with the ‘Strategic Award’ for their website (www.zubairautomotive.com) at the recently held 8thedition of the Oman Web Awards (OWA). The competition was created to recognise excellence in web design and web development skills, while ultimately encouraging a greater awareness towards digital communication in all sectors of the economy.
The 8thedition of The Oman Web Awards Ceremony 2014 took place at the Majan Ballroom in Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, under the auspicious of H.E. Hamood Sangour Al Zadjali, the Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman (CBO).Receiving the ‘Strategic Award’ on stage on behalf of the Group were Zuwaina Al Azri, the Communications Manager; Rajesh Sharma, the National Marketing Manager; and Steven Tominkson, the National Sales Manager.
The Zubair Automotive Group were also recently recognised at 11th Pan Arab Excellence Awards for the same website where they won the Gold award under Corporation Category, further strengthening their resolve towards excellence.
Commenting on this achievement, Zuwaina Al Azri said, “Our vision while establishing the company website was to represent who we are while being dedicated to enhancing customer experiences. The current interface is a result of hours of diligent work by our teams so we are delighted to see their efforts honoured at the Oman Web Awards.”

Organised by the SJS Group (Oman), under the patronage of the Information Technology Authority (e.oman) and in association with Microsoft and Business Software Alliance (BSA), the OWA has a distinguished panel of judges comprising groups of university professors and specialists in the field who voted in accordance to a special designated guideline following international standards. The judging procedures passed through two-phases in order to reach a correct and transparent grading. The Zubair Automotive Group website scored consistently across all parameters to emerge as the overall winner of the Strategic Award.
