My Client, one of the regions leading Real Estate Owner/Developers is looking for an exceptional Marketing Director/Chief Marketing Officer to lead their marketing efforts across the region with the focus on hotels.
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be: Create and manage the Marcom strategy in line with the business strategy and in conjunction with the hotels/operators, Corporate Communications department, other marketing teams, and other key stakeholders. Manage new hotel openings Marcom plans and activities Business Strategy and Plan: Support senior team in defining and presentation of the Annual Business Plan with a 5 year strategic plan. Marcom Plan: Create, present and gain approval from CEO on the annual Marcom plan which clearly outlines strategies with measurable objectives, budgets, programs, key tactics and Marcom tools for the upcoming year in keeping with the overall corporate brand and strategy along with other business units’ strategies and plans. Brand / Vision / DNA: Revise current vision and mission in line with overall brand strategy and Properties’ aspiration, and fold messaging into all marketing and development project outputs. Drive a brand strategy that clearly identifies our clients (DNA) irrespective of which brand/operator is involved New project support: Identify opportunities to drive marketing and development efforts, and coordinate initiatives and plans to ensure maximization of commercial success Leadership: Provide leadership, education and motivation for the internal/external marketing team in order to deliver innovative / creative ideas that result in top of mind awareness for the range of existing assets and for development projects. Promote the corporate culture and create a positive shadow for internal employees and external customers, communicating narrative and brand reinforcement to deliver a distinct culture. Hotel Openings- Operators. Work alongside the operators to ensure corporate interests are represented in all new hotel openings. Relationships: Establish a solid working relationship with executive team, stakeholders, senior development and asset heads and relevant corporate communication and branding departments. Resource Planning: Create resource plan that includes organizational development, recruitment, training and motivation of Marcom related employees. Reporting: Populate and present Marcom reports (e.g. Board, CEC, PCG, Marketing Plans, Budgets, Presentations, WIP’s, Activities Calendar) to HBU head office in a timely manner Consultants: Identify and maintain working relationship with key agency partners / suppliers (in conjunction with Marcom heads) to support an integrated resource solution across all projects. Creativity & Innovation: Set and drive a creative strategy for an aligned portfolio of material across HBU and all project marketing such (e.g. brochures, brand films, presentations, website, etc…) Performance: Maximize the performance of HBU & Project marketing, through bi-monthly marketing team WIP reviews that monitor milestone activities of internal team and external advertising, PR, events and media agencies. Sales: Work closely with the existing assets regional Sales Director to ensure asset marketing heads provide outstanding launch events, campaigns and promotional material to support sales targets and customer penetration.
What we’re looking for: University educated with a marketing related qualification, you will have a solid and proven career spanning at least 15+ years predominately within the hotel industry within the Middle East either directly or indirectly. You will be an expert in understanding the Marketing Mix and Communication Channels, Understanding advertising agencies, brief setting, reporting and analysis.
1. To promote, supervise and control all matters connected with the Contract Administration of the assigned Projects 2. To ensure that contractual obligations are met in time and protect all our contractual rights. 3. Identification of deviations from contract documents and be responsible for lodging variations in a timely manner, follow-up with project authorities and realisation of the variations. 4. To document and maintain records pertaining to Contract Administration of the projects. 5. To groom and develop Engineers by imparting training and periodical updating to selected staff in all the Contract Administration matters. 6. To carry out studies, co-ordinate, develop and implement CA for special projects as may be required. 7. To update the management on latest developments & techniques in CA in the market. 8. Any other related duties as Management may require from time to time.

Based in Dubai and reporting to the CEO you’ll be: Assuming the turn-key hotel development responsibility in line with the commercial and operational requirements; Develop projects within approved budget and on schedule, after land has been sourced by business development through to handover to Asset Management and the Hotel Operator; Conceiving financially viable hotel developments with rigorous analysis supported by internal teams within the organization and external consultants; Preparing comprehensive internal project development feasibility and submissions to the Board with the assistance of the Project Management, Asset Management and Business Planning functions; Projects delivered in a timely and qualitative manner through all the necessary internal and external approvals; Directly manage assigned Development Managers and the Project Development Teams comprising of Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Design Managers and the external architects, interior designers, MEP consultants and other such consultants; Assisting Senior Director(s) Asset Management and Director of Business Planning in value enhancement of existing hotel assets involving other company service units; Assisting and support the teams in receiving internal approvals such as Business Plans/Budgets, Business Forecasts, Strategic Development etc.
University educated with a Degree (preferably MBA/Masters) in an Engineering, Construction, Architecture related discipline you will have a proven track record spanning at least 15+ years working on significant hospitality/hotel projects ideally in the Middle East. You will have an exceptional financial, analytical and technical skill set. You will be Team orientated and be able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
