Provide immediate Information Technology [IT] and mobility support services to end users, through telephone contact or otherwise, to resolve their problems and escalate issues beyond own capability to appropriate specialists. May deal with servers issues as well as distributed/ network problems. Experience may also be gained through extensive experience of using the relevant system as an advanced user.
* Install and configure computer hardware, handheld, operating systems and applications. * Install printers, Scanners, Hardware and Software with their required upgrades. * Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks. * Support users through a series of actions, either face to face, over the telephone or e-mails. * Troubleshooting system, network problems, diagnoses and solve hardware/software faults. * Supporting the roll-out of new applications. * Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs. * setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues. * Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate). * Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance as scheduled. * Position might require after work hours and weekends to perform tasks that cannot be done during normal work hours.
