The Dubai Financial Market General Index (DFMGI) gained 1.63 per cent, closing at 4,124.77 points on Monday, March 17. Arabtec Holding, the biggest construction firm in the Middle East region, surged by 6.41 per cent to AED5.15. Emaar added 1.65 per cent to AED9.25. Gulf Finance House, an Islamic bank based out of Bahrain, lost the most, finishing three per cent lower at AED0.712. Approximately AED723 million shares were traded, valued at AED1.8 billion. Seventeen shares advanced, while 12 stocks declined in value.
