The Dubai Financial Market General Index (DFMGI) fell by 0.51 per cent to 5,058.95 points on Wednesday, April 30. Financial stocks mostly weighed the gauge, as Ajman Bank lost the most (down by5.11 per cent) and Shuaa Capital (down by 3.58 per cent), finishing among those shares with the biggest day loss. The exchange’s bellwether Emaar Properties was the most liquid share and gained 0.46 per cent to hit AED10.90. Earlier in the day, Emaar revealed in a filing to the bourse that it was considering several options to list its malls and retail and hospitality divisions, reacting to media reports. Listing on the DFM could be one option, but Emaar would communicate its decision to the public once finalised.
