Foreign investors bought shares worth Dhs1.14bn ($309.5m) on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) from August 17 to 21, while the value of stocks they sold was Dhs1.08bn, said a report. The net foreign investment during the period reached Dhs55.1m during the period, said the Emirates News Agency (WAM) report. The value of shares bought by foreigner investors comprised 45.7% of the total value of stocks traded during the last five days, while value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period represented 43.5 % of stocks traded during the period, a DFM press release was quoted as saying. The value of stocks bought by institutional investors hit Dhs732.1m, comprising 29.5% of the total value of stocks traded during the period, while the stocks sold reached Dhs605.7m, representing 24.4% of the total value of stocks traded.
