Modhesh World, one of the region’s most popular ‘edutainment’ destinations for children and the whole family, gives opportunities to several young volunteers during their summer vacation so they could gain valuable work experience that could help them in their future careers.

Alex Castillo, a 15 year-old and student from The Philippine School, said that he could use this working experience in the future: “I am happy to be a part of Modhesh World as I know it will be to my advantage that I already have a working experience at such a young age, when I apply for a job someday. I really do love taking care of kids and it is always fun working and playing with them and because of that I enjoy my work” .

Yasmine Kagal, a 16-year-old kid from Syria, is thankful to Modhesh World for giving her a chance to experience working with the no.1 amusement park in the region: “I feel very lucky to be given a chance to work in Modhesh World for a few weeks, not all youth have this chance to enjoy summer while working in a jolly atmosphere and also acquire some knowledge”.

Nika, a 19-year-old girl from Slovenia, who is always smiling and cheerful with kids, loves everything about her job. “The kids accept us for who we are, they are very honest and enjoyable to be with, they just play and they have no problems or heavy burdens inside so they will surely lighten your emotions” she said, and added that the kids brings out the best in her .“My dream is to be a teacher someday and these lovely kids teach me to be simple and happy all the time. Everyone could learn from them because they are very humble, they don’t keep grudges and they just want to have fun.”

Modhesh World is celebrating its 15th edition this year by hosting a wide array of events and experiences in Halls 3-8 at Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme, “A summer of endless family fun”. The region’s popular family edutainment attraction is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). Modhesh World will be open daily until 8 September from 10am to 10pm from Saturday to Wednesday; 10am to midnight on Thursday and from 3pm to midnight on Friday. Entry tickets to Modhesh World are priced at AED 15 for children and AED 10 for adults while children below the age of 3 go in for free .
