His Excellency Mohammed Saleh Shelwah, Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Policies at the UAE Ministry of Economy, has confirmed the UAE’s preparedness towards the upcoming 15th GCC Joint Exhibition.

Set to run from May 26-30 at the Expo Centre Sharjah, the event is held organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The 15th GCC Joint Exhibition has been built around the theme ‘Made in the GCC’.

The announcement was made during the GCC Exhibition Officials Committee meeting, held at the Ministry of Economy’s offices in Dubai. His Excellency Saleh Shelwah stressed the UAE’s commitment to promoting cooperation among the GCC member states. He also pointed out that the exhibition’s reputation as an important platform that gathers product suppliers and investors from across GCC members has grown year on year.

The 15th GCC Joint Exhibition is set to bring together senior representatives from GCC Ministries of Economy, in addition to major regional and international players from the industrial sector, manufacturers and consumers, as well as prominent investors, businessmen and manufacturers from diverse business sectors across the region.

His Excellency Saleh Shelwah, said, “Products manufactured in the GCC meet the highest international standards, in terms of the quality and value they offer. This priority enhances their ability to compete in both regional and international markets. The exhibition is an accurate yardstick of the investment climate in the GCC in general and the UAE in particular, and offers great potential to forge strategic partnerships and joint ventures.”

Outlining the exhibition’s agenda His Excellency highlighted that a two-pronged session titled ‘Deepening economic integration among GCC countries’ assumes significance in the light of recent regional developments. Additionally, the event will feature a business forum that will examine two important issues – the private sector’s vision of the steps and economic cooperation projects completed between the GCC countries, as well as the private sector’s aspirations to drive further economic integration among the GCC member states.
