Qatar Investment Authority, which controls over $100bn of assets, has said it’s ready to boost investment in the UK after acquiring stakes in British companies such as Barclays and J Sainsbury, Bloomberg has reported. “Britain is one of the main destinations for investment,” said the chief executive of the sovereign wealth fund, Ahmad al-Sayyed. “You’ve got great systems, great regulations. We’re happy to invest more when the opportunity is coming.”
