Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) has signed an MOU with ‘Reyada’, a human capital development programme affiliated with the Executive Office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The agreement, aims to enhance and develop competencies among the club’s human capital, in line with Sharjah’s sustainable human development plans.
According to the MOU, ‘Reyada’ will provide training consultation and services to SLC, in line with the club’s annual human development plan. These services will include selecting training providers for prospective courses, screening and selecting trainers, providing training material, and availing training venues and equipment. SLC in its turn will nominate trainees and schedule the courses.
The MOU was signed at Sharjah Ladies Club’s premises in a small ceremony attended by SLC’s Manager Khawla Al Serkal, Fatima Al Shehhi, Deputy General Manager of ‘Reyada’, as well as a number of employees from the two organisations. Commenting on the agreement, Khawla Al Serkal expressed her satisfaction with this new step, highlighting that it would help SLC to meet the training needs of every employee they have, providing these employees with the required skills and competencies to excel in their positions.
“This MOU comes in the context of our ongoing partnership and collaboration with all government entities in Sharjah. We always strive to benefit from the wealth of experience they have in our plans to develop our club and the services we provide. We are confident this will bring greater prosperity to SLC and society in general,” she added.
On her part, Fatima Al Shehhi reaffirmed Reyada’s commitment to developing local human resources in Sharjah, in keeping with the instructions of its visionary, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al-Qasimi, who is constantly working to elevate the skills and competencies of the local work force and maintain excellence in all organisations under the umbrella of Her Highness’ Executive Office.
Al Shehhi highlighted that all training programmes provided by Ryada are in line with Her Highness’ vision with regards to developing human capital, and instilling a spirit of ambition and determination as a driver for future development.
Reyada was established in 2009, under the directives of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and it is affiliated with The Executive Office of Sheikha Jawaher. Reyada’s vision is to identify, inspire and develop human capital serving Sharjah’s community.
Sharjah Ladies Club aims at providing Emirati women with an environment to excel and prosper, in order to enhance their position in society, and enable them to play a bigger role in developing their country. Moreover, the club provides women and children with a relaxing and nurturing place where they can learn and practice sports and other hobbies. SLC organises a number of events and activities in the domains of sports, art and music, entertainment, culture and knowledge, and health and well-being. These activities are exclusive for women and children, and are organised throughout the year.
