Leading international business and consultancy firm The Business Year (TBY) has renewed its partnership agreement with Ithraa, Oman’s government department responsible for attracting inward investment into Oman and the promotion of non-oil Omani exports, for the preparation of TBY’s second annual publication on the Omani economy.
The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed in Muscat, between His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al-Said, Director General of Ithraa, and TBY Country Manager, Natalia Mukovnina.
The agreement lays the foundations for the preparation of The Business Year: Oman 2015, which will include insights from leading political and business figures to deliver accurate information, objective analysis, and strategic advice on the main economic trends in the Sultanate of Oman. Ithraa will support TBY in data collection, research, and sector analysis.
The result of this fruitful collaboration will reconfirm The Business Year as the most comprehensive English-language review on Oman’s economy. The edition will reach over 87,000 readers worldwide in addition to highly-circulated digital versions available via iPad, iPhone, and Android applications.
Natalia Mukovnina, Country Manager for Oman, emphasized the degree of interest that the Omani economy is garnering within the global investor community, and said, “We are seeing a high level of demand from our readers for information on the Sultanate. Thanks to the country’s ambitious diversification program, large-scale infrastructure projects, and development of industrial parks and special economic zones, Oman is becoming one of the most sought-after investment destinations in the region. Thanks to the support of Ithraa, we are supplying this demand for intelligence and information through the first-person insights of the people driving the Omani economy.”
Commenting on the MoU signing, HH Sayyid Faisal Al Said, Ithraa’s Director General of Marketing & Media, said, “The Business Year is a high-quality publication with a significant global distribution network, and will undoubtedly help us to reach a broad and diversified business audience. Indeed, it’s one of the tools we’ll be using this year to raise the Sultanate’s business profile and promote our distinctive offer.”
Throughout the course of TBY’s months-long research, its team will conduct approximately 200 interviews and cover all major sectors of the economy, including, finance, energy, real estate & construction, transport, ICT, health and education, and tourism. Selected interviews will be the pillars of TBY’s research, and up-do-date focus articles will provide readers with all the relevant facts and information related to recent projects, investments, and specific opportunities in the Sultanate.
