Topics of the growing regional paediatric challenges in an evidence-based, patient-focussed, interdisciplinary forum will be discussed during the Arab Paediatric Medical Congress, held in Amwaj Rotana Hotel Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 30 to 31 May, 2014.

Regional and local experts in the field will share their wealth of knowledge via the evidence-based and hands-on workshops with breakout sessions and interactive discussions to meet the needs of all attendees.

Dr. Nawal Al Kaabi will be leading the workshop to help paediatricians understand the appropriate selection of antibiotics and promote the rational use of antibiotics. Other expert-led workshops will cover neonatal ventilation, nutrition and clinical scenarios in paediatric heart diseases, epilepsy and more.

‘Urgent action is required to control and prevent the emergence of bacterial resistance, as this is a pressing healthcare concern in the UAE’, noted Dr. Nawal Al Kaabi, Head infectious Diseases, Paediatric Residency Programme Director at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.

The Arab Paediatric Medical Congress will be a rewarding opportunity for gaining knowledge in evidence-based paediatric and neonatology topics, overcoming key challenges related to diagnosis and management of paediatricas well as neonatology disorders.
