Qatar’s Hamad Medical Corp (HMC) has announced the opening of two state-of-the-art emergency centres at the recently-opened Hamad International Airport (HIA), the Peninsula has reported. The purpose-built centres “will provide travellers and other visitors with urgent medical treatment and curative and preventive care, delivered by our expert team of healthcare professionals,” said Chairman, ED Operations, HMC, Prof Peter Cameron. HMC operated the emergency care service at Doha International Airport for more than a decade. In 2013, more than 9,000 passengers and other members of the public were treated at HMC’s airport clinics.
