Iran has said it is planning to set up ‘the most modern hospital’ in the GCC region in Oman, Times of Oman has reported. According to the Iranian envoy to Muscat, the 400-bed hospital would be equipped with the latest medical facilities and would receive patients from Oman, other GCC countries and beyond. Specialists from Iran would comprise 80% of the cadre and the rest would be Iranian specialists based in the US and the UK, said Ali Akbar Sibeveih. “A hotel will also be built in the complex,” he said.
