Qatari private, public healthcare facilities told to install CCTV cameras

Qatari private and public healthcare facilities have been warned by the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) of stern action if they fail to install CCTV cameras in their premises, the Peninsula has reported. The regulator’s Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety Department issued a circular identifying the facilities required to install cameras and those exempted. Facilities required to have round-the-clock surveillance systems include general medical complex, dental complex, specialist medical complex, private and government hospitals, pharmacies inside medical complexes, hospital laboratories, medical analysis labs outside and inside medical complexes, dental laboratory, medicine stores, medicine factory, food supplementary and medicine stores, and specialist medical centres for people with special needs, bone care, chiropractic, health and beauty, physiotherapy and social rehabilitation.
