Seventh AHS Maso’ol Initiative to Run from March 16-18 in Abu Dhabi

Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), a SEHA health system facility, today announced the seventh edition of its Maso’ol community outreach program will be hosted at six healthcare centers, three each in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, seeking to address the concerns of customers within the AHS network.

The latest cycle of the Maso’ol outreach program will kick off on March 16 at Al Muwaiji and Mohammad Bin Zayed healthcare centers. On March 17,the initiative will shift to the Shamkha and Al Maqam centers, and it will conclude on March 18 at the Al Bateen and Al Hayer healthcare centers. Each session of the program will run from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Individuals interested in participating in the Maso’ol program are invited to visit the designated healthcare centers in their vicinity.

Launched in 2011, the Maso’ol initiative is a community outreach program offering patients and their families a platform to interact with the AHS medical team and officials. Through the program, AHS seeks feedback and recommendations from patients, care-givers and other stakeholders as part of its priority to improve the standards of healthcare response, treatment and services throughout its centers.

The biennial Maso’ol program is our opportunity to track customer experiences first-hand. Such community engagement articulates our priority to deliver world-class healthcare on par with the UAE’s stringent standards.”

On March 16, Maso’ol customers from the AHS healthcare centers at Al Muwaiji, Al Hili, Zakher, Niyadat, Mezyad, Al Jahli, Naema, Al Khabisi, Oud Al Touba and Al Masoudias well as the Tawam Dental Centerin Al Ain can visit Al Muwaiji AHS center, while those from the Mohammad Bin Zayed City, Khalifa City (A), Maqtaa, BaniYas, Nahda Clinic, Al Khazna, Khatem and Mafraq AHS centers can report to the Mohammed Bin Zayed AHS center in Abu Dhabi.

On March 17, AHS customers from the Shahama, Samha and Shamkha AHS centers can visit the Shamkha AHS center to benefit from the program, while on the same day, residents from Al Maqam, Al Yahar, Remah and Sweihan can assemble at Al Maqam AHS center in Al Ain.

On March 18, the last day of the seventh edition of the Maso’ol program, Al Hayer AHS center in Al Ain will welcome patients from the Al Hayer, Al Faqa and Al Shuwaib centers, while Al Bateen AHS center on Abu Dhabi Island will host patients from the Al Bateen, Al Khaleej, Al Rowda, Al Zafaranah and Al Ettihad AHS centers as well as those from the Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra dental centers.

The fifth and sixth editions of the 2013 Maso’olprogram, held in March and September respectively, covered a total of 395 participants.In 2011, its debut year, the Maso’ol program had gathered 589 respondents and in 2012, there were 293 in all.

Some of the improvements in facilities and services brought about in AHS clinics over the past 3 years on account of popular demand at Maso’ol sessions include: the opening of a paediatric clinic on Wednesdays at the Khalifa City A AHS center plus the expansion of general consultation hours from 7:00pm to 10:00pm there; the opening of a 24-hour pharmacy at Al Hayer AHS center for the benefit of residents of Al Hayer, Al Faqa and Al Shuwaib; more nurses dedicated to Mezyad AHS center for collecting blood samples; breast cancer awareness programs launched at the Samhaand Al Muwaiji AHS centers; specialists in orthodontics and family medicine have been appointed at the Al Muwaiji AHS center; at Mafraq Dental Clinic, a specialist pedodontist was appointed, the number of dental staff was increased and play area for children was introduced.
