Following Kulluna’s partnership with Safe Kids and the re-launch of their child safety campaign, Kulluna has held several car seat training sessions to increase awareness amongst Qatar’s residents about car safety and the importance of car seats for their children.

The latest public car seat training took place at Katara from the 20-22nd of February by the beachfront area.

Kulluna has completed a number of campaigns since its launch covering a range of topics on keeping children safe in the home, on the water and in the car.

During the event at Katara, Kulluna representatives handed out information on car seats and experts were available to advise and give demonstrations to parents about the various styles of car seats available. One of the main attractions at the event was the giant car seat which was on display for the first time and fascinated children and adults alike.

Dr Khalid Abdulnoor Saifeldeen, Director of the Hamad International Training Center and Chairman of Kulluna, said: “Car accidents are one of the top killers around the world. At Kulluna, ensuring that the people of Qatar are safe is one of our top priorities. Through these car seat demonstrations, we are able to educate the public about the importance of installing car seats for their children to avoid any accidents.”

Mr. Gary Sykes, ConocoPhillips Qatar president commented on the event: “Safety is the prime core value at ConocoPhillips, and as founding sponsor of Kulluna we are proud to find innovative ways of promoting safety and health to the wider community in Qatar. Our partnership with Safe Kids Worldwide is a prime example, as we work together to keep Qatar’s next generation safe. We want to make the public understand the importance of child seats and other child restraint systems because ultimately through arming parents with the right information many young deaths and injuries can be prevented.”
