World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) – a not-for-profit organization established in 1980 and headquartered in India – has emerged, over the years, as one of the most representative, effective and leading international organisations, working towards the promotion of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Secretary General of WASME Mr. Gyan Prakash Agarwal said, “SMEs have to be promoted for employment generation, growth and sustainable development. Saudi Arabian SMEs can contribute much more to job creation, local economy and exports. WASME as an international organisation with world wide presence and consultative status with UN agencies is committed to the promotion of SME sector. I am looking forward to the forthcoming Saudi Conference for SMEs and Entrepreneurs. This would be an excellent opportunity for SME stakeholders in KSA to interact with SME stakeholders from around the world. WASME is proud to be a association partner of this event. I wish all the success for this event.”
Their support for the conference demonstrates the importance of this initiative which aims to positively contribute to Saudisation and the growth of the Kingdom. The conference provides a platform for Saudi Arabian Government officials and key decision makers from the private sector to meet Saudi SMEs, entrepreneurs and innovators. The objective is to encourage SME expansion, stimulate the economy and help create jobs in the private sector.
The two day event allows experts the chance to showcase their solutions to Saudi Arabian business leaders. Up to 500 professionally-qualified delegates will attend including: SME owners, C-level executives and entrepreneurs.
“The support of WASME just goes to show the importance of this initiative, especially at a time when the Kingdom is investing heavily in developing the SMEs and entrepreneurs. This is a perfect platform for organizations to not only show their support for the development of Kingdom but also strengthen their business ties with leading SMEs and entrepreneurs,” explained Managing Director of Naseba, Fabien Faure.
