The Ministry of Industry and Commerce represented in the Industrial Area Directorate and the Bahrain International Investment Park “BIIP” participates in the Gulf Industry Fair, which is inaugurated yesterday morning by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister.
Ministry’s location in the exhibition highlights the most important services provided by the Ministry to the industry sector in the Kingdom, in addition to the industrial enterprises and huge service that the Kingdom succeeded to attract and choose BIIP a location for their work such as Kraft Foods, Siemens, MTQ, BASF, RMA, JPF as well as regional companies such as Aba Hussain, and CPIC. Commercial Register data indicates that the total capital invested of recorded companies is more than 40 billion dollars, a growth of nearly 20% since 2008.
In this regard Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro confirmed that the Bahrain International Investment Park is one of the most important facilities in the Kingdom with an area estimated 2.5 million square meters. More than 85% of this area is rented with total investments of $1.8 billion. BIIP welcomes high added value projects and contributes to create job opportunities for Bahraini.
