Ministry of Works’s Sanitary Engineering Operation & Maintenance Directorate organized an inspection visit for a number of interns at the Family Doctor Program, headed by Britain’s Environment Health Consultant Dr. Sine Bokli.
The visit aimed to introduce them to the treatment processes at Tubli Sewage Treatment Plant; as part of the Environment Health Workshop.
At the beginning of the visit, engineers from the Sanitary Engineering Operation & Maintenance Directorate welcomed the doctors and reiterated the importance of the environment and its impact on people and societies. The doctors were introduced to the plant’s mechanism and the upgrade project that aims to increase the capacity of Tubli STP.
The Sanitary Operation & Maintenance Directorate also explained to the doctors that the section that operates on the HYBACS System will be able to receive around 100,000m3/day out of the total capacity of 300,000m3/day that reaches Tubli Plant.
The Sanitary Sector at the Ministry closely observes the results of the tests performed on the flow operating on the HYBACS System to make sure that samples conform to the standard specifications adopted in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
At the end of the visit, the doctors extended thanks to the Ministry for granting them this invaluable opportunity to learn more about such vital improvement projects.
