Ahmed Saeed Al Mansouri, CEO of TV and Radio in DMI, confirmed that what is happening in Dubai One channel is a chore routine work that occurs in all TV channels. It’s a general review of our programs and media content broadcast around the clock.
Al Mansouri added that there no such administrative decision taken regarding the closure of the channel or terminating the services of employees, adding that the distribution of the programs included in the channel’s grid is based on studies and market research that will help in the formulation of a clear strategy of the most followed and watched programs by our audience.
Sarah Jarman, Director of Dubai One channel, said: “As one of DMI channels, Dubai one will work in the coming period to attract new segments of the audience, referring to the entertainment orientation of the channel directed primarily to broadcasting latest and elite Hollywood and international movies, top drama and sitcoms and exclusive world programs.
Al Jarman concluded: “All the programs of Dubai One are under review in order to enhance and develop our new program grid scheduled for September 14, 2014. No decision has been taken yet regarding restructuring or cancellation of any program, on the grounds that this matter needs to be approved by DMI Board of Directors.
