A number of Ministry of Interior (MoI) departments participated in the exhibition that witnessed a good turnout of school children in primary and secondary categories in the area. The exhibition was held as part of partnership with educational institutions and other civil organizations in the country to grow security awareness among the children.
Many MoI departments such as Al-Fazaa, Traffic Department, Juvenile Police, Coasts and Borders Security, Drug Enforcement, Human Rights, Medical Services, Civil Defence and Permanent Committee on Drug and Alcohol Affairs (PCDAA), Criminal Evidences and Information (CEID) and Internal Security Force (Lakhwiya) participated in the exhibition.
Independent primary and secondary schools such as Shahaniya, Jameela, Al-Karaana, and expatriate schools such as Iranian school and Filipino International School also participated in the security exhibition.
Social institutions such as Qatar Charity, Eid Charity, Family Counseling Centre, Qatar Foundation for Women and Child Protection (QFWCP), Supreme Council of Communication and Information Technology (ICTQatar) participated in the exhibition with their own pavilions and distributed pamphlets to introduce their activities to the children.
Welcoming the attendees, the assistant director of Dukhan Security Department Brig. Faraj Ismaeel Al-Abdullah said that the exhibition is held to build bridges to communicate with the community enhancing stronger relations with police and the community and to raise security sense among students.
Police canine section at Criminal Evidences and Information Department (CEID) presented a police canine show which attracted children and they learnt how police canines are tracing the culprits and detecting drugs and explosives.
Internal Security Force staged a show that includes many latest martial arts and it raised level enthusiasm among the students. Qatar Centre for Voluntary Activities presented a performance on little volunteer.
Students from Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Mahmoud Independent Boys School presented traditional dance items such as Qatari Arda and sword dance.
