Al Midfa said that the SCTDA is working to develop integrated strategies to promote the Emirate in international markets in order to boost the industry growth and continuously expand Sharjah’s share of global tourism markets.
He pointed out that the Authority has already won several awards and accolades for its successful showcasing of Sharjah and its tourist attractions and profile.
On the sidelines of the global exhibition a number of meetings were held at the Sharjah pavilion, exchanging ideas and views with industry leaders about the pace of developments being witnessed in Sharjah’s tourism and hospitality sectors as well as the latest trends and developments in the global tourism industry.

Apart from showcasing its rich heritage, physical landscape and diversity of its tourism experience, the Sharjah pavilion at Excel London celebrates the Emirate’s popular cultural and family festivals and events such as the Sharjah Water Festival, which is held in December, and the Sharjah Light Festival, held in February.
Besides, a special niche has been devoted to Emirati culture, customs and traditions with visitors getting a true feel and experience of Arab and Emirati hospitality.
