The statement was made during a visit His Highness paid to the SEDD’s new Industrial Area branch, situated on Al Maliha-Kalba Road. His Highness was received by the SEDD’s Chairman, H.E. Ali bin Salem Al Mahmoud and a group of the Department’s officials and senior directors. Also in attendance was H.E. Sultan Ali Obaid Bin Butti Al Muhairi, the Secretary General of the Sharjah Executive Council.
His Highness underlined that Sharjah is keen to continue the development process and offer all types of support to all sectors and government departments, as well as to the private sector, with the aim of creating an ideal, investment-friendly environment. He affirmed that the development process requires careful planning, complete execution and following-up on all details to reach positive and material results.
Sharjah’s Crown Prince toured the various departments and divisions of the new SEDD branch and listened to a detailed presentation covering all departments and divisions, the services and facilities offered by the branch to clients, investors and licensees, and the technology used to facilitate the work process and better serve the clients.
His Highness praised the new branch and the high organisational level evident there, urging officials and employees to continue offering facilities to clients, providing best services and cooperating with other government parties to reduce the processing time required to issue and renew licenses in the emirate.
SEDD Chairman H.E. Ali bin Salem Al Mahmoud spoke about the new branch, “SEDD’s branch in Industrial Area 18 offers more facilities to clients through qualified employees and customer service professionals who are ready to help clients complete procedures, guiding them and answering their inquiries conveniently and privately. The new branch boasts modern technology and advanced displays, and has allocated spaces for representatives of a number of other government departments involved in the process of issuing and renewing licences, including the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Health Department, Sharjah Municipality’s lease contracts registration and attestation department, Notary Public, Post and Civil Defence. The new branch’s amenities include spacious parking spaces, easy access to service outlets, a spacious reception area and high-speed processing.”

We are also keen to unify efforts with all government departments to push the wheel of economic development forward and set in place the economic development and growth plans in the emirate,” Al Mahmoud added.

In January the SEDD’s Kalba branch was shifted to the new location. The Department now has five branches strategically situated in the Industrial Area 18: Khorfakkan, Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid and its headquarters.
