Asir District Civil Defense Director General visits Al-Jazeera Paints

As part of the Asir District Civil Defense Directorate celebrations marking the Civil Defense Day for this year which comes under the slogan; (Toward a Safe Society) and falls on the 1st of March, His Excellency Major-General Mohammad Bin Rafe’ Al Sheri, the Asir District Civil Defense Director General visited Al-Jazeera Paints In Khameis Mushait accompanied by His excellency Brigadier-General Sae’ed Bin Saleh Al Qahtani, the Civil Defense Director of Khameis Mushait and a number of Civil Defense Officers in the region.

Major-General Al Shihri and his companions accompanied by Mr. Mohammad Bin Abdullah Bin Naser Alromaih, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Jazeera Paints along with Mr. Abdullah Bin Saud Alromaih, Al-Jazeera paints General Manger and Eng. Naser Bin Mohammad Alromaih, Al-Jazeera paints Deputy General Manger toured the company factories and were acquainted about the production process and all different departments. The tour included the company research and development R&D center and labs that became a scientific and knowhow center in regard to paints testing and experimentation techniques. They also oversaw the company advanced production lines which manufacture all kind of high quality paints including fire resistant paints, architectural paints, decorative paints, industrial, marine, and protective paints as well as wood, road pavement, antimicrobial and anti-carbonization paints…etc.

The guests also visited the fully automated Al-Jazeera Paints factory specialized in manufacturing environmentally safe water base paints which is the first of its kind in the Middle East and operates according to the latest international technologies with a production capacity of 120 thousand tons annually. The factory raises its production capacity to 320 thousand tons annually upon completion of its operation stages. They then visited Al-Jazeera Paints Academy, the first academy of its kind in the Middle East that is specialized in training and education on paints application techniques. The company management aspires for it to become a scientific torch in the field of paints and its manufacturing and application technologies through prepping and qualifying trainees for the market place, develop their expertise and raise their efficiency in addition to spreading the culture of quality and raise awareness of its necessity in preserving premises and buildings along with their components and increase their life expectancy.

Mr. Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Naser Alromaih, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, explained that Al-Jazeera Paints provided the needed requirements to achieve safety and professional health through sound technical planning and the implementation of basic prevention measures. This is done through the provision and execution of all safety and professional health precautions along with the commitment to Saudi, international and Civil Defense standards and specifications directions and measures. He added that the company didn’t stop there but provided the necessary training for interested professionals in the field of paints on the best modern methods which are in line with the best professional safety and public health conditions. He pointed out that Al-Jazeera Paints is keen on providing professional safety from risks and sound and healthy work environment in its factories. It does so by cooperating with the Civil Defense Directorate in Asir District and through a continuous training and awareness process that underlines the positive link between the rise in health and professional safety level with increase in productivity.

“We strive to spread health awareness among consumers by utilizing a number of modern day communication tools along with educating them on safe products that cause no harm to health”, added Alromaih. We work hard to make our products safe for the factory employee, the paint professional and those exposed to paint by restricting a number of health hazard raw material that are part of the paint manufacturing process which may harm health directly or indirectly,” Stated Alromaih.

He continued on saying that: “in this context and as part of our corporate social responsibility regime we determined a supreme goal and a noble objective and that is to engage in an active role in preserving lives and properties along with the extension of chances to put out fires through the provision of a product that resists fire by using (INTUMESCENT) technology which is Al-Jazeera (Fire Damp263). This very product contributes to mitigate the consequences of fires and meets the highest international standards and specifications regimes. It obtained the most precious certificate from the most inveterate international institute specialized in protection and safety, the (EXOVA-WARRINGTONFIRE). It also obtained another certificate from the (Underwriters Laboratory) (UL) which is the most trusted name in the field of safety yet crowning Al-Jazeera Paints as the first national paint company that obtains this certificate which comes as a result of our continued and ambitious developmental plans. This has helped positioning the Kingdom in a prestigious place in the paint industry side by side with the United States of America, Canada and Britain which are the most advanced countries in the industrial block along with a leadership position among paint companies on the level of Asia and Africa which is definitely a great achievement.
