The Ministry of Works, represented by the Information Technology Directorate and in collaboration with the Knowledge Management Unit, organized a lecture on the importance and use of social media channels in an organization. The lecture was delivered by Chief of Bahrain Social Media Club Ali Sabkar.
At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Sabkar commended the Ministry of Works’ active presence on the social media networks; Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. He then highlighted the importance of social media and referred to the most important and commonly used social media portals and how to use and benefit from each.
Sabkar also shed light on the means to attract a large number of audiences through targeting the required audience and putting in place an effective social media plan that complements the Ministry’s strategic plan.
The lecture was concluded by a question and answer session, after which PRMD Director Fahad Buallay presented Mr. Sabkar with a memorial shield.
The International Social Media Club- Bahrain Chapter- is keen to attract experts and specialists in social media and E-Marketing and organize events that aim to train entrepreneurs and young specialists on how to use and benefit from modern social media and the various uses of social media networks.
