Avos Systems, a company formed by Chad Hurley and Steve Chen, the co-founders of YouTube has sold social bookmarking service, Delicious, to Science Inc., a technology investment and advisory firm run by Michael Jones, the former chief executive of Myspace, the New York Times has reported. Hurley and Chen had acquired Delicious from Yahoo in 2011, after Yahoo was said to be considering shutting it down. The YouTube founders agreed to sell the company so that they could focus more on MixBit, a new video app, Hurley told the daily. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Science Inc. is buying the technology without acquiring any workers.
