Bahraini students trained by twofour54 tadreeb, the provider of world-class media training programmes, recently exhibited the artistic results of a six-month Tamkeen graduate training programme in professional graphic design.
Graduates displayed their work on large boards at the “GRAFIX 14” exhibition at Capital Knowledge premises at the Financial Harbour in Manama, where the training was held. Potential employers from creative agencies, invited by the dedicated administration and training management team of Capital Knowledge, in coordination with twofour54, met with the young talents to see their portfolios, learn about their skills; 35% of the exhibitors landed internship opportunities amongst seven major organizations in Bahrain.

twofour54 tadreeb developed and executed the course as part of its mission to develop Arabs and build a strong and sustainable media industry throughout the Arab World. Its partner, Tamkeen, is a Bahraini government organisation developing the country’s private sector. More training, including advanced media courses, will be rolled out over the next two years.

Tamkeen’s Vice President for Human Capital Development Mrs. Amal Al Kooheji commented: “This six month training programme is in line with Tamkeen’s objective to develop Bahrain’s human capital according to labour market needs. Students learnt graphic design and how to visually communicate messages in the most effective way with industry-standard software.”
The students’ work included photography, videography, infographics, pictograms, logos, typography, campaign ideas, and designs for websites and exhibitions. Over the past six months, they were trained by highly qualified bilingual instructors who have worked in some of the most respected media organisations in the world.
Tamkeen is will begin registration for the second batch of its Public Relations and Graphic Design Training Programmes in the next few weeks. The courses will give 30 trainees theoretical and practical training in their chosen specialisation.
