CH2M HILL, a global full-service consulting, design, construction and operations firm, is pleased to announce that Halcrow, a CH2M HILL company, has been awarded a contract by Al Ain City Municipality to design and supervise the construction of an underpass at Sultan Bin Khalifa Roundabout, which will alleviate traffic congestion and enhance road safety in the city.
The underpass at Sultan Bin Khalifa Roundabout is expected to be completed by Q2 2016 for a total construction value of Dhs140m.
The contract was formally awarded to CH2M HILL Halcrow on 25th March 2014 and builds on its previous successful project to improve traffic movements in the schools area in Al Ain.
Heading up the project will be Adnan Hashmi, CH2M HILL’s Project Director for the construction of the Underpass at Sultan Bin Khalifa Roundabout, Herman Kao, CH2M HILL’s Project Manager, and Jett Smith, CH2M HILL’s Senior Resident Engineer.
