ComGuard will distribute NetScreen products to the Middle East and Africa market through fully authorized NetScreen resellers.
This expanded partnership comes at a time when regional sales and demand have increased requiring a more in-depth business strategy. Offerings for professional, support and training services for NetScreen appliances will be rolled out to customers through resellers across the region immediately.
“We have been very impressed with the advanced capabilities of NetScreen’s security solutions, such as firewall, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Intrusion prevention solutions and have therefore decided to expand our services to distribute these advanced products regionally, and furthermore complete the circle by also becoming an authorized training facility for our customers and resellers in the region,” said Daniel Nufer, Sales & Marketing Director, ComGuard.
Under the terms of the agreement, ComGuard will invest AED500,000 to construct and staff a “proof-of-concept” lab and training facility at its Dubai Internet City (DIC)
headquarters. The lab and training facility will enable ComGuard staff to test customer configurations and new NetScreen software releases, as well as providing an ideal location at which the company can train its staff and educate its resellers and customers.

As an authorized training partner, ComGuard meets NetScreen’s stringent requirements in the areas of certified instructors, training facilities and lab equipment. NetScreen also monitors the performance of training courses to ensure that they meet the highest standards of education through NetScreen Authorized Training Centers (NATCs).
