“CPC supports the development and empowerment of Saudi small and medium sized enterprises – locally and globally. This represents our commitment to strengthening the economy by creating more jobs and achieving leadership in our area of business,” stated Dr. Faysal Alaquil, CPC’s Director of Business Development and official spokesperson.
He participated in the session on the ‘Role of Small and Medium Enterprises’ and noted that, “Learning from the experiences of other countries and using this knowledge to enhance our business development is an important goal.”
He added that “90% of all commercial enterprises in Saudi Arabia are small and medium sized businesses.”
This forum was convened to support the efforts of the Government of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, who is promoting the advancement of small and medium sized enterprises sector. These initiatives are taking place to enhance the knowledge and partnership of businesses in Japan and Saudi Arabia. This will allow balanced and productive development and growth.
The Forum was attended by H.E. the Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Al-Jasser, Minister of Economy and Planning, H.E. Dr. Hashim Yamani, President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy and a number of leading personalities from the public, industrial and private sectors of Saudi Arabia and Japan.
