The announcement was made at the first Annual Health Care Event, held by the ABC last week in Dubai, in a keynote speech on the industry delivered by Al Murshidi.
“Outpatient and inpatient markets are expected to account for 82 percent and 18 percent, respectively, of an overall market size,” he told delegates.
The event intends to bring business leaders, healthcare professionals and decision makers together by providing them with a unique platform where they can have a vibrant face-to-face exchange of expertise, visions and new ideas, as well as sharing investment opportunities.
“We got a tremendous response and believe that the event was a success, and we are determined to continue this success story every year,” said Al Murshidi, who later announced that the gathering would become an annual event.
The discussion was chaired by Sobhi Batterjee, president of Saudi German Hospitals Group, who was listed as a guest of honour. Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, managing director of LLH Hospital was present to represent different institutions from the health care industry, among other dignitaries and diplomats attending the event.
Batterjee said: “The event brought the world leading manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors all together to meet with prominent representatives from the health care industry across the Middle East region and the rest of the world.”
The attendees also discussed different health care related topics during the event. Dr Reem Osman, CEO of Saudi German Hospitals, expressed her views on advanced medical technologies. Karim Samaira, of Genpharm and Markus Giebel, CEO of Eternity Medicine Institute, were a few industry experts to participate.
