USAID-funded Tatweer project launches Export Fast Track Action Program to the US market

In harmony with Tatweer’s mission to increase the competitiveness and export capabilities of Jordanian companies, the new program is designed to help beneficial companies to penetrate the US market successfully through a three-phase process.

Phase One involves market research packages for the individual companies in their respective marketing areas that include medical reagent kits, food products, footwear and cosmetics. Phase Two includes a series of one-on-one meetings and strategy sessions with individual company officials in Tatweer’s in Amman, Jordan. It also includes creation of marketing communications materials (advertisements, sales literature, and press releases), and U.S. trade show attendance on behalf of participating companies. A trade mission of appropriate U.S. companies and potential trade partners will be assembled to meet with the Jordanian companies in Amman to facilitate opportunities for both U.S. and Jordanian interests. Phase Three will provide ongoing sales management and support in the U.S. on behalf of the Jordanian companies participating in the program.

Mr. Nayef Stetieh, Tatweer President & CEO, stated,

“This program is implemented through out strategic partnership with a specialized US company in this domain. This new program is another step complementing our efforts to increase Jordanian exports to the US and maximizing the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the US and Jordan.”

Parallel to this program, Tatweer Project provides financial support for a number of services aimed at enabling Jordanian companies to comply with the US market standards in addition to services related to building the financial, managerial and marketing capacities of the companies.

Mr. Saleh Mousa, CEO of Jordan Diamond, one of the companies participating in the program expressed his great appreciation of this pioneer program and the role it plays in opening new opportunities in new markets.

Furthermore, Mr. Shadi Jabaji – Vice President of the Jordan AL-Manara Shoes Co. said: “This is a further step taken by Tatweer to ensure the betterment of Jordanian companies’ competitiveness and export capabilities. In addition to the assistance we received previously to develop our packaging, website and personnel Tatweer has just introduced us to a systematic approach and a specialized export program that will allow us to place our products in US markets effectively.”

The Business and Export Development Project for Jordanian Enterprises-Tatweer, is an economic development project funded by the United Stated Agency for International Development-USAID and managed by the Business Development Center-BDC. Its main objective is to increase the competitiveness of Jordanian SME’s locally, regionally and internationally.
