Held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Board Chairman of Emirates Foundation for Youth Development, the event will be an open discussion focused on enhancing the culture of volunteering in the UAE.
Topics will include: establishing effective voluntary projects and programmes; motivation and social responsibility; ethics of volunteering; and benefits of networking.
Participants will benefit from the experience of leading organizations and from case studies presented on successful volunteering projects from around the world.
Maytha Al Habsi, Chief Programme Officer at the Emirates Foundation and Director of the Takatof Programme, said, “The meeting aims to build up and develop relations between individuals and organizations involved in volunteering and community service, exchange expertise on the best practices of volunteer work and enable participants to gain new skills in this field.”
Emirates Foundation is an independent philanthropic organization set up by the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to facilitate public-private funded initiatives to improve the welfare of Emirati youth across the UAE.
Over the past seven years Emirates Foundation has built a vibrant and diversified portfolio.
