In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, the challenge for many organisations is the continued maintenance and management of such facilities. Airports, sea ports, transport systems, telecommunications networks, public utilities and industrial facilities require increasingly sophisticated management systems to keep them running.

“In today’s world, buildings, public infrastructure and industrial facilities are increasingly complex requiring the right management systems, business process and strategies for their smooth operation,” said Gaby Matar, Group Managing Partner of eSolutions. “This conference focuses on solutions that help organisations enhance the visibility, control and automation of their business and IT assets, allowing them to take smarter decisions. Smarter decisions can mean cost savings, new efficiencies, better workforce management and better outcomes for our environment, which is why we’ve chosen ‘Smarter Decisions’ as this year’s conference theme.”

Large facilities and infrastructure projects have to manage a wide range of critical assets in order to continue operations. Many of these assets can prove to be critical to the efficient facility management and if not properly inventoried, maintained and replaced, they can cause significant disruption to the airport operations. Maximo software can reduce the number of systems required to manage such assets, freeing up resources and, importantly, provide management with a single view of asset management to support smart decision making.

“Many of the Middle East’s largest facilities are just as sophisticated as their counterparts in longer established markets, if not more so and they’re always looking for new ways to improve their operations,” added Matar. “Enterprises in the Middle East region have increasingly sophisticated demands for integrating and analysing asset-related information. This week’s conference is jam-packed with news, updates and customer case studies on how these demands can be met.”
