Egypt construction spending down 5.14% in 2013

: Thursday, May 22 - 2014 @ 01:21

Egypt’s Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) has said that total spending on construction projects in the country dropped 5.14% in the 2012/2013 fiscal year, Daily News Egypt has reported. The figure fell from EGP14.78bn in 2011/2012 fiscal year to EGP14.02bn for the 2012/2013 fiscal year. The drop was due to the country’s unstable economic scene and consequent decline in construction projects, CAPMAS said.
