The Omani manpower ministry has said the it will boost extra vocational training to bring down drastically the ratio of citizens opting for jobs in the construction sector as unskilled workers this year, Times of Oman has reported. “We do not look forward to Omanis joining as workers. We want them to be technicians in the private sector,” said manpower minister, Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri. “The construction sector, which is developing its equipment and systems, should also similarly train Omani citizens.
