Al-Jazeera Paints sponsors “For my Own Health…I Run” race

Al-Jazeera Paints, the high quality paints industry giant in the Middle East and surrounding regions sponsored the “For my Own Health…I Run” race which was held recently by the Education Department of Al Dere’yah in partnership with the local Social Development Committee for the 4th year in a raw.

This sponsorship comes as part of the social responsibility strategy of the company and in line with its numerous continued support and sponsorship of sports, social, economic, cultural, touristic and awareness activities and events throughout the Kingdom.

The one kilometer and three stages race witnessed the participation of the preliminary, intermediate and high schools students’ parents along with the students themselves. The participants wore shirts bearing Al-Jazeera Paints, the official sponsor of the event, slogan.

The participation of the parents along with their children encouraged the Director of the Education Department of Al Dere’yah Governorate Mr. Fawaz Bin Mohammad Al Dawood to praise this participation describing it as an important parental upbringing of the children of the governorate participation.

He pointed out that the race achieved several goals including the balancing of physical and psychological health of all participants and also helped prevent from diseases, citing that such physical activities solidify the happy memories of the student that he enjoys during his educational path.

He further explained that this race aims at enhancing national values (our country is our responsibility), instills the love of sports and its importance and enhance physical and psychological health as it is a social activity that is executed by the Department of Education in partnership with the local Social Development Committee of the governorate.

Among the participating parents, Ajab Bin Mo’jib Ala’utaiby won the first place and among the preliminary schools’, student Fiasal Sahara came out in first position, hailing from Abu Hurairah school. Among the intermediate schools, Zayed Sahara from Al Dere’yah Intermediate school came out first and Ibrahim Ali Mohammad won first place among high schools, hailing from Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Mohammad school.

At the conclusion of the race, cash and other prizes were distributed to the winners and Al-Jazeera Pains was honored with a shield for sponsoring the race. Eng. Abdul Hai Al’enezy and Mr. Khaldoun Taqiyah represented Al-Jazeera Paints during the prizes distribution ceremony.

Other participating government institutes were also honored in the presence of Mr. Fawaz Bin Mohammad Al Dawood, the Director of the Education Department of Al Dere’yah, Mr. Osama AlNa’uaimah, the Deputy Director of the Curriculum Affairs, Mr. Sa’d Al Qarni, the Deputy Director of the schools affairs and Mr. Sa’d Al Shunaiber, the activity Supervisor.
