Dragon Mart has confirmed it is set to open for business in Doha by the end of June in Barwa Commercial Avenue, after receiving the necessary approval from the General Directorate of Civil Defence, Gulf Times has reported. “Tenants have already occupied the whole ground floor whereas the mezzanine is 30% full,” Dragon Mart’s logistics manager, Yang Qi, said. The Chinese business venture was expected to open in August last year, but some requirements were to be met to secure the necessary permits for its full operation, the Chinese embassy had said earlier. Qi said that some 150 shops, which are ready for the opening day, would sell a variety of products and goods such as furniture, decoration and building materials.
