Aqua Park, Qatar’s first and only water park, has announced the reintroduction of Ladies’ Day for the 2014 season. Beginning 1st April, every Tuesday will be Ladies’ Day except during Ramadan and the Eid holidays. The park will remain out of bounds to all male adult guests as well as male staff to ensure total privacy for the female guests in line with Qatari culture.
All employee roles including lifeguards, customer service and support personnel will be taken on by female staff for the day. Only children below the height of 120 cm will be allowed to accompany their female family members into the park as guests.
“Ladies’ Day proved very popular last year because of the privacy it affords ladies while allowing them to enjoy the Aqua Park experience,” said Mohamad Firdaus Raj, General Manager. “Since we opened this year we’ve been receiving inquiries about it and we are happy to have brought Ladies’ Day back for the season by popular demand,” he added.
Featuring 15 exhilarating water rides and attractions spread over an area of 50,000 sq. meters, Aqua Park has something to offer guests of all age groups and swimming skills. It offers a variety of unique aquatic experiences including a huge play area featuring a 2,000 gallon tipping bucket and the park’s four-storey high water slides. The full-size wave pool and the 200 meter long lazy river are also always popular with guests.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate, or online to avoid queues. More than 170,000 guests are expected to visit Aqua Park during the 2014 season. A spectacular new ride is planned to be opened later in the season, as well as a loyalty program that will afford special benefits to members.
Fridays are always Family Days. Timings, details and the latest news can be found on the website at aquaparkqatar.com or through the park’s social media channels.
