Jordan to benefit from Thailand’s artificial rainmaking

Senate President Abdul Raouf Rawabdeh met on Wednesday with visiting Thai experts. During the meeting Rawabdeh highlighted bilateral relations between the two Kingdoms and mutual cooperation in various fields, especially in the rainmaking technology, Zawya has reported. He expressed the hope that the cloud seeding project in Jordan will achieve positive results in the Kingdom, especially since Jordan suffers water scarcity. Thai Ambassador to Jordan Pirya Khempon praised his country’s relations with Jordan and said the delegation met with a number of Jordanian officials to discuss ways to ensure the success of artificial rainmaking project. Thailand will provide Jordan with assistance in the sector to help solve the Kingdom’s water shortages. The project focuses on how to increase water availability in Jordan, both for drinking, and for agricultural purposes.
